The word "Karibu" means welcome in Swahili — and that spirit of warm welcome is at the heart of everything we do.

Karibu Coffee was founded and registered in May 2022. We are based in Wandegeya Market, Level 3, South Wing, Kampala, Uganda. You are always welcome to visit us in person — our team is available Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm.

Mondia Coffee is our signature blend that combines premium Ugandan coffee with Mondia whitei — locally known as Mulondo — a traditional Ugandan plant root celebrated for its earthy, vanilla-like aroma and wellness properties.

This blend is uniquely Ugandan: it honors centuries of traditional knowledge while delivering a smooth, complex flavor profile unlike anything you'll find in a standard coffee blend. It's one of our most popular and distinctive products.

Yes. Every bean we process is sourced directly from smallholder farmers in Uganda — one of the world's premier coffee-growing regions. Uganda produces both Arabica (grown in the highlands) and Robusta (around Lake Victoria), and we work closely with farmers to ensure only the finest beans make it into our products.

For the best flavor, store your coffee in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture. Once opened, keep it in an airtight container. We recommend consuming ground coffee within 2–4 weeks of opening for peak freshness. Avoid storing coffee in the refrigerator, as moisture can affect the flavor.

Sustainability is built into our DNA. We train farmers in Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), post-harvest handling, and sustainable farming methods. We prioritize fair pricing, collective marketing, and providing farmers with access to better markets — all of which support long-term sustainability of Uganda's coffee sector.
